I feel Eastern philosophies are like Linux – Opensource, Free to all , anyone can modify and create a new distro (Hinduism, Buddhism, Jain, Taoism etc). Source code is available to all those have the means of accessing it. It could be meditation, psychedelics etc. Linux is not so popular among general public. They prefer proprietary OSs like Windows or Mac OS (Abrahamic religions) because they are relatively user friendly and more attractive in terms of UI. But when it comes to advance computing Linux is the gold standard.
